2014 marks two important milestones for renowned wildlife artist John Banovich, a dear friend of the Nashan family and Montana Watch Company. John is not only celebrating his 50th birthday, but also 20 years of partnership with Safari Club International.

The celebration will commence Wednesday February 5th with the2014 Birthday Beast Benefit in Las Vegas, a VIP cocktail party and silent auction benefitting the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation, a nonprofit organization fostering cooperative efforts to conserve the earth’s wild places. Montana Watch Company will be in attendance supporting the special event with their donation of a custom ladies Sapphire timepiece, a Banovich collaboration featuring a handcrafted Bullino engraved rendering of the Banovich original sketch “Chui”. The framed original sketch will be included in this elegant, custom package for the lucky auction winner.

Additionally, Montana Watch Company is honored to join forces with John in his booth during the Safari Club International Convention, to be held Wednesday February 5th-Saturday February 8th 2014. If you are planning to attend SCI this year, please be sure to visit us inside the Banovich booth, number 1067.

Finally, we are teaming up with John once again for the February 7th Friday night SCI auction, donating half of a truly exquisite pairing of original artwork. This stunning collaboration begins with an original oil on Belgian Linen by John Banovich titled “King”, a contemporary depiction of a large male lion in his prime. The Montana Watch Company component, a custom Model 1930 watch with the “King” image Bullino engraved on the dial is framed by a sterling silver case hand-engraved in a tribal motif. This collaboration is the quintessential representation of African Safari artwork, sure to be the pride and joy of Banovich and Montana Watch collectors alike. This stunning pair represents a marvelous opportunity for bidders to support SCI conservations efforts through their investment in this distinctive original artwork set.
